GourmetOrigins.com is a marketplace for foodies. Here you will find an assortment of extraodinary foods, that you will be able to order directly from the producer. But shopping is not all,  as our name implies, we do care a lot about the origins of food and how it is prepared...At GourmetOrigins.com you will also be able to learn more about different foods, the places where they come from and the people that make them.

Who are we?

GourmetOrigins.com was founded by Miquel Ros and Alex Wareing, two London-based entrepreneurs that share a passion for food, travel and all things digital.

While travelling around Europe we were always fascinated by the diversity of foods that we came across, so many stories, places and traditions that those foods were the result of...and hence, the problem: most of these foods are, indeed, so unique that they are often not easy to find anywhere near you. At the same time many small producers are being crushed by large distributors and find themselves without an easy way to market...

...and this is when we decided to step in! We started on our spare time, creating a map-based food guide to help foodies locate the best certified foods in Europe. It was just an informative tool, but we soon realised that it would also be a good idea to facilitate contact between the producers and the public, so that you could purchase all those outstanding foods and get them delivered to your door...the GourmetOrigins.com Marketplace was born!
